Topshop at London Fashion Week

There were sheer red pleats and hats pulled down low, cover-all outerwear with petticoats underneath and boys on the runway wearing unisex pieces. A distinctly puritan undertone in the modest cuts and outsized proportions got a dose of naughtiness with a lace-revealing split in a skirt or a daring dash of scarlet. Up-close, backstage, the intricacies of the garments became apparent and it was all too clear why this talented pair are winning critical acclaim that builds with every collection. From the installation that was their catwalk to the artistic, pro-girl thinking behind each piece, we love everything about them – especially the way they continue to surprise!
